Allyn completed his graduate work at Georgia Southern University, University of Georgia, and Nova Southeastern University. He has 35 plus years of experience working with children, adolescents, parents, adults and families in both the public and private sectors.
As a National Board Certified Counselor, Allyn’s areas of expertise include children - adolescent behavioral and personality disorders, addiction and recovery, aftercare, family issues, relational issues, marriage counseling, men’s issues, women’s issues, family interventions, life transitions, academic and career counseling (including assessments), anger management, depression, anxiety, EAP and medication management assistance.

Genie, completed her graduate work at Georgia Southern University.
Her areas of focus are counseling adults, adolescents and families dealing with substance abuse, addiction, depression, anxiety, grief and trauma. Her additional areas of focus include: relationships, anger management and issues particular to teens.
Genie’s professional experience included working with individuals and families with acute mental health issues and substance dependent clients in an inpatient and crisis stabilization environment.
She has the valuable ability to teach coping skills and resources to individuals across the life span. Her belief is that counseling should enrich the life of the client and facilitate understanding, growth and personal awareness.
Genie is committed to empowering her clients to achieve personal, emotional and social growth in all aspects of their lives. It is her mission to help individuals and families face life’s challenges in a safe and supportive environment – to not only tackle their current situation, but to gain the necessary tools to cope with future problems in a healthy and productive manner.
Genie resides in Brunswick with her menagerie of 4 legged children and enjoys travel and the beach in her downtime.
Mary completed her graduate work at the Valdosta State University with an M.S. in Clinical/Counseling Psychology. Coursework emphasis was placed on Early Childhood and Adolescent development and therapeutic interventions.
Her background includes providing individual, group, and family therapy to children and adolescents along with their families in an outpatient setting, school based program and residential program. Mary has experience working with a variety of issues specializing in trauma and abuse, grief, anxiety, depression, ADHD, social problems, developmental delays, foster care and adoption, transitions, educational problems, behavioral problems, parent-child relationships and parenting skills training. A variety of approaches are used to create a safe, trusting environment that engages children and promotes insight into thoughts, feelings and behaviors for teens to promote meaningful change and increase healthy coping strategies.
Mary enjoys spending leisure time finding adventure with her husband and two kids camping, hiking and playing poolside or at the beach.
Denise Schuster MA LPC

Denise is a licensed professional counselor in both Georgia and Illinois. She earned a masters degree in clinical psychology from Eastern Illinois University.
Denise has 37 years of experience working with individuals who have mental health challenges including depression, anxiety, self esteem problems, addiction problems, trauma and adjustment disorders.
Her experience has been honed by having worked in outpatient mental health clinics and residential substance abuse facilities as well as a children's psychiatric hospital.
Denise's primary treatment models are CBT, DBT, Client Centered, and REIT. She is a solution-based therapist and works actively with helping her clients reach their goals.
Denise resides in Brunswick with her husband and pets. She enjoys traveling and assisting her husband in their real estate enterprises.
Aubrie Hess Reedy

Aubrie attended Savannah College of Art and Design on a full soccer scholarship and obtained her degree in Painting and Illustration.
After graduating, Aubrie taught art at Landmark Christian School in Fairburn Georgia. She taught Kindergarten through 12th grade art and also became the head coach for the varsity boys soccer team.
Aubrie then attended Seton Hill University in Greensburg, PA where she earned her Masters degree in Art Therapy and Counseling. Internships in the following three settings enabled Aubrie to gain a wide variety of experience:
Experience in child and adolescent trauma came when Aubrie spent three years working for Victim Outreach Intervention Center in Butler PA. working as a counselor for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. She also works with St Simons By The Sea in their inpatient hospital setting; utilizing a recently designed sensory program. Additionally, Aubrie gained court experience providing legal advocacy and also crisis intervention.
Aubrie and her two daughters live on St Simons Island, along with their border collie and three cats. In their free time, they enjoy kayaking, jumping on the trampoline, riding bikes around the island, building sandcastles at the beach, and "painting" the town.
Alison Jimenez, LPC
Alison graduated from Our Lady of Holy Cross College with a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Counseling in 2005.
Her background includes providing individual, group and family therapy to children and adolescents, couples and families in a variety of outpatient settings such as home, office, school based program and residential program. She has also worked with acutely mentally ill in an inpatient hospital setting. Alison has more than 10 years of experience working with a variety of issues including mood disorders such as grief, anxiety, depression and bipolar disorder as well as behavior disorders such as ADHD and Oppositional Defiant Disorder. She has also worked extensively with children who have been abused and neglected and suffer from the trauma they endured.
A variety of approaches, including CBT and play therapy, are used to create a safe, trusting environment that engages children and promotes insight into thoughts, feelings and behaviors for teens to promote meaningful change and increase healthy coping strategies.
Alison is committed to helping people to reach their life goals so that they may live to their potential and enjoy living life (and its little bumps) along the way. She resides in Brunswick, GA with her husband and children. In her free time she enjoys traveling and experience dining on food from different cultures around the world.
Aaron Coots LCSW

Aaron graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Master of Social Work in 2008 with areas of concentration in Psychopathology and Addictive Diseases. Aaron has done extensive work in inpatient settings conducting competency evaluations for court systems and through that experience has gained a strong knowledge base in assessment and diagnosis of a wide variety of mental health disorders. Aaron has vast experience providing mental health and substance abuse trainings to law enforcement agencies to increase awareness and reduce stigma. Aaron has also spent several years working in community mental health settings where he has provided therapy to individuals, couples and families. Aaron utilizes a variety of therapeutic approaches in the clinical setting which vary depending on the need of his clients. Aaron shows unconditional positive regard for all clients. He provides a safe therapeutic environment with compassion and support so clients can explore ways to make changes in their lives that will allow them to look forward to the future with hope. Aaron believes that change happens when people are given the guidance they need to draw on their own strengths and realize their potential live fulfilling, happy lives.
Jennifer Sears MS, LCP

Jennifer excels at assisting individuals understand and overcome mental, emotional, and behavioral health concerns. Her strength-based style promotes hope, provides support, and utilizes person centered approaches toward care. From increasing coping skills, combating negative thinking, overcoming toxic relationships, handling extreme emotions, or recovering from the effects of trauma, Jennifer uses a powerful set of clinical skills including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), Trauma-focused CBT, and motivational interviewing (MI). Jennifer completed a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling at Liberty University and has worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings with adults and children with mental illness and emotional/behavioral concerns. Jennifer’s patience allows her to work with even the most difficult cases. Jennifer works passionately to raise awareness and reduce stigma for mental health transformation. She believes that self-care is the best way to help others. “My greatest therapy is music and watching my favorite childhood movies, or marvel movies, with my son.” she shares. Jennifer also enjoys outdoors, good food, yoga, learning, and spontaneity. “Life’s short, you deserve to be happy and find the good in yourself and others, diagnosis or not.” Jennifer is known for her interactive creative therapy style in finding the best fit for each client to get the most out of their time in therapy.
Lindsay Bottoms, MS, NCC, LPC
Lindsay completed her graduate work at Capella University. She holds a national board certification in counseling, is a licensed associate professional counselor and a licensed school counselor. She completed a year long post graduate course in play therapy with children.
Her areas of focus are play therapy with children and families, expressive arts therapies, sand tray therapy, Theraplay, and cognitive behavioral therapy.
Her professional experience includes individual and group counseling and parent training for a variety of behavioral, emotional, and mental health needs including anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, selective mutism, oppositional defiance disorder, grief/loss, family separations or divorce, military family dynamics and transitions, school issues, traumatic experiences of abuse and neglect, and early childhood attachment disruptions.
Lindsay’s model in working with children focuses on strengths, coping skills, problem solving, conflict resolution and where the child is developmentally. She is passionate about helping children reach their potential and will work arm and arm with parents to support the entire family in this process.
Lindsay resides in Woodbine with her two children and Navy submariner husband. She enjoys family time, running, cooking and traveling.
Erin Campbell, LASW

Erin completed her graduate degree at Saint Leo University with a Master's of Social Work/Advanced Clinical Practice. She graduated with the highest G.P.A in her Social Work graduate class, earning her the Student of Distinction Award.
Erin's experience includes; advocating for children and adults who were physically, and sexually abused and/or assaulted, providing individual, groups, couples, and family therapy in both residential and outpatient settings.
Erin has over 10 years experience working with a variety of issues such as, anxiety depression, trauma, self-esteem issues, social issues, behavioral problems, developmental disorders, and parenting skills.
Her unique ability to build rapport with children and adults is unique. Erin has a genuine desire to help and to empathize with others. She is committed to supporting and empowering others to become self sufficient with the ability to face future challenges.
Judy is the rock star of Emerald Isle Counseling as she is the first voice patients hear when they call. Judy does a marvelous job in taking care of patients and staff in her role as Practice Manager. She is originally from Jacksonville and spent most of her career in the building industry; having worked in sales/management for various large home builders in the Jacksonville area. Additionally, she has owned and successfully managed several small businesses. Judy brings this marketing and business acumen to EIC, a hallmark of a successful practice management.
Christina provides administrative support to the practice manager. As office administrator with over 7 year’s experience, Christina has vast knowledge of insurance and billing. She is customer service oriented and loves helping people.
Christina resides in Brunswick with her husband and three children. She enjoys all outdoor activities and spending time with family and friends.
Madi is attending the University of the Cumberlands to obtain her master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. With experience as administrative assistant, Madi works with enthusiasm and a helping nature.
She enjoys getting to know and helping others. Madi resides on St.Simons Island and in her free time, she loves to cook, travel, spend time with friends and family, and take care of her puppy.
Patient Services Associate
Ryan is attending the College of Coastal Georgia to receive his Bachelors of Science in Nursing. He has plenty of experience in customer service and loves helping others. Ryan resides in Brunswick with family and is an active member in their local church. He is a wonderful addition to the billing and scheduling office of Emerald Isle Counseling. When not at his desk, he loves spending time with his family, having a good time with his friends and making others laugh.
